Fabasoft awarded contract by the KRZN – Lower Rhine Municipal Computer Centre

Document management and workflow for up to 12,500 workplaces

Fabasoft has been awarded the contract for introducing a document management system with workflow engine by the Lower Rhine Municipal Computer Centre (KRNZ) within the framework of a Europe-wide open public tender.

 

The cities Bottrop and Krefeld together with the districts Kleve, Viersen and Wesel – and their associated local authorities (users) make up the administration union Lower Rhine Municipal Computer Centre (KRZN). In the course of its modernisation programme the KRZN intends to raise the level of the software for document management with workflow engine to a state-of-the-art product and decided to use the Fabasoft eGov-Suite within the framework of the public tender.

 

Although the standard product already offers extensive functions, it is nevertheless flexible enough to be adapted to meet the respective requirements. The KRZN will implement the requirements of its customers in the field DMS and workflow with Fabasoft. In addition the KRNZ will continue its activities in the field of application development and create standardised electronic files and complex workflows for its users as well as developing the necessary interfaces. The current state of planning envisions rolling out the solution for up to 12,500 workplaces over the next five years.

As a municipal administration union the KRZN provides IT services for its members – the cities of Bottrop and Krefeld and the districts of Krefeld, Kleve, Viersen and Wesel – and for their associated local authorities (users). The KRZN sees itself here as part of these organisations. Municipalities and municipal institutions outside of the association group can also make use of the services as customers. On the basis of legal provisions the KRZN works together with its business partners in accordance with commercial rules.
