Fabasoft awarded contract by the state of Rheinland-Palatinate

Basic service E-file for up to 17,000 workplaces
Fabasoft has been awarded the contract to implement a basic service E-file by the State Office for Data and Information (LDI) on behalf of the Ministry of the Interior and Sport within the scope of a negotiation process.
Introduction of the E-file with E-case processing and other expansion stages based on the Fabasoft eGov-Suite is intended to advance digitisation in Rheinland-Palatinate. The basic service E-file will be introduced on the highest state authority level in a first step with approx. 2,200 workplaces.
“We are convinced that the estalished standard eGov-Suite product from Fabasoft will meet the requirements of the state administraion with regard to electronic file management and case processing. Employees have a modern and user-friendly work tool at their disposal with the eGov-Suite”, explains Roman-Tibor Stache, Head of E-file/digitisation of case processing in the Ministry of the Interior and Sport.
Basic service E-file with expansion modules
The basic service E-file in Rheinland-Palatinate is based on the Fabasoft eGov-Suite. All functionalities for simple expansion to include E-collaboration (expansion module) are already available with the product, in addition to the basic services (E-file and E-case processing). It is also intended to introduce the basic service E-file in the immediate state administration with up to 17,000 users, in addition to its introduction on the highest state authority level. The solution will be operated by the State Office for Data and Information.

About the State Office for Data and Information
As the central service provider for all authorities and public agencies within the state of Rheinland-Palatinate, the task of the Landesbetrieb Daten und Information (LDI) is to give advice and support in the use of the processes and systems of information and communication technology. This includes the procurment of hardware and software products together with provision of their associated services. In its function as central IT service provider the LDI develops efficient solutions for the state administrations at the locations Mainz and Bad Ems and enables the professional implementation of the Rheinland-Palatinate IT strategy.
