Gebauer & Griller implements collaboration in the Cloud

Gebauer & Griller, a leading international manufacturer of cables, wires and cable harnesses, now uses the Fabasoft Cloud to meet the particularly high requirements laid down by the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association for the storage and exchange of data. 

 

The Austrian company Gebauer & Griller is now using the Fabasoft Cloud for secure and agile collaboration with external persons. This solution has been implemented in the field Research and Development as well as for communication between the supervisory and management boards.

 

“Top quality is one of our core values. That is why we only contemplated a solution that offered the same high level of quality with regard to data security”, says Markus Kasteiner, IT System Manager at Gebauer & Griller. With its 13 locations Gebauer & Griller operates as an international supplier, among others for the automotive industry. To ensure the efficient handling of daily tasks it is necessary to exchange data simply, quickly and securely between the different departments and with external persons as well. However, where collaboration with the large European automobile manufacturers is concerned, the data have to be stored in Europe and must also be protected in the best possible way.

 

This was the reason behind the choice of the Fabasoft Cloud, because it is operated exclusively via highly secure European data centres. “Data are managed in so-called team rooms – protected project areas in which external people can be invited to collaborate simply, quickly and securely”, explains Andreas Dangl, Managing Director of Fabasoft Austria GmbH. In other words, external partners become part of a company’s own digital organisation. Employees can also access important business data, add annotations and issue releases while on the road by means of mobile apps.
