Fabasoft Connect Bayern 2025

As an eGov community event, Fabasoft Connect | Bayern was all about exchanging ideas on the path to the public administration of tomorrow. In addition to informative presentations on the latest developments in Fabasoft solutions, the event also offered plenty of opportunities for networking.

Transformation in public administration through AI and cloud-native

Matthias Wodniok, Member of the Management Board, opened Fabasoft Connect | Bayern and emphasized in his keynote speech how crucial both artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud-native technology are for optimizing administrative processes and increasing efficiency in public administration.

The public administration of tomorrow: digitalization, automation and visions for Bavaria

In conversation with Andreas Voglmayr, Business Unit Executive eGov Germany, Wolfgang Bauer, Head of Department VII at the Bavarian State Ministry of Finance and Regional Identity, discussed the trends and challenges of digitalization in the Free State of Bavaria. He emphasized the importance of the cloud and digital sovereignty for the Free State and made it clear that centrally controlled digitalization in the municipal sector is desirable, sensible and necessary.

Bauer gave an outlook on the state-wide roll-out of the digital personnel file and spoke about ongoing digitization projects, including in the area of surveying administration.

He was convinced of the potential of automation and AI for public administration, but also mentioned the necessary steps associated with the use of AI, such as the prior structuring of existing databases in order to be able to use them efficiently.

Bauer concluded by expressing his wishes for Bavaria's digital future. He emphasized the need for suitable framework conditions that promote digitalization and wished for more courage to take innovative paths and implement them more quickly.

More efficiency and proximity to citizens with innovative products

Andreas Voglmayr introduced the second part of the Connect with a brief presentation of the Fabasoft eGov Solutions Talents, Boards, Done! and Online Services. He emphasized the importance of the eGov Suite as a powerful and flexible basis and highlighted Mindbreeze Insight Services as a central hub for AI use cases.

Stefan Arnold, Head of eGov-Suite, then presented how the new features of the Fabasoft eGov-Suite provide concrete answers to the current challenges of public administration. Using various live demos, he showed, among other things, the current improvements in the use of the XDOMEA standard, everything to do with the further development of Fabasoft apps and other product innovations.

As a special highlight, he demonstrated the Mindbreeze AI Chat, which offers an easy way to use the existing data treasure in an unprecedented way with the new “Chat with the file” function.

Successful meeting management

Fabasoft Boards, presented by Jürgen Meister, Manager Team Munich, optimizes collaboration in committees and simplifies meeting management. By connecting all participants and providing an intuitive user interface, the solution ensures secure preparation, efficient execution and comprehensible documentation of meetings. Meister used live demos to illustrate how Fabasoft Boards maps the entire application life cycle and thus ensures greater efficiency and transparency in decision-making processes.
